August 5-6—Move in and get registered

In order to maintain proper physical distancing, you will need to schedule a specific block of time to move into the residence halls on either August 5 or 6.

9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.—Registration
If you need to meet with anyone to finish up the checklist, offices will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. To allow for proper physical distancing, you'll need to schedule an appointment. Check back next week for a link to make appointments with office such Records, Student Financial Services, Enrollment, etc.

7:00 p.m. - "My Baby is Going to College" (Woods Auditorium)
A special parent event will be held both nights in Woods Auditorium at 7:00 p.m. and broadcast on Facebook Live.

August 6—Optional testing

If you need to take the ACT, we will have a testing session on Thursday, August 6, at 8:30 a.m.. The ALEKS math placement test will also be given that day. Both of these are optional. Learn more

7:00 p.m. - Game night (clock tower)
Join your family group for some fun and games!

7:00 p.m. - "My Baby is Going to College" (Woods Auditorium)

August 7—uConnect new student orientation

Orientation is possibly the most fun you'll ever have while also learning to stay safe and use library resources. It's also required for all first-year and students. The schedule and locations have been modified to make sure we don't meet in large groups and keep everyone safe.

Note: Transfer students are encouraged to participate as well.

9:00 a.m. - Welcome (clock tower)
Meet your family group and head to your designated family group classroom.

9:15 a.m. - Worship (family group classrooms as assigned)

10:00 a.m. - Get Oriented (family group classrooms as assigned)
Learn what you need to know to have a successful start at Union College.

12:30 p.m. - Family Group Lunch (various locations around campus)
Have lunch with your family group and discuss "Tips I wish I knew when I started college."

2:00 p.m. - Know Your Stuff (various locations around campus)
Explore all the ways you can get involved and campus and discover the resources that are here to help you succeed.

7:30 p.m. - Family Worship (under the clock tower)
We'll have our first Friday evening worship service of the year outdoors under the clock tower to welcome the Sabbath and dedicate the school year to our Creator.

August 8—Worshipping together

Sabbaths are a big deal at Union, and we're excited to share this one with just the freshmen.

10:40 a.m. - The Well (College View Church young adult room)
This Sabbath School experience is run jointing by College View Church and Union College and explores worshipping God through music, study and community.

9:15 a.m. and noon - College View Church Worship Service (CVC sanctuary)
Pick from either of the two time slots for a great sermon and music.

Something on Sabbath
We'll have several great activities for you to choose from to experience some of the fun outdoor opportunities our areas has to offer.

8:00 p.m. - V2
We close the Sabbath each week with a worship time together.

9:00 p.m. - Meet the Student Association (around campus)
Enjoy some exciting games—win great prizes.

August 9—Get rested

9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Relax and have some fun
Swim at Larson, play some basketball in the Thunderdome, or just relax and get ready for classes.

5:00 p.m. - Burrito Bash (Residence Halls)
Enjoy a free supper in the residence halls for all dorm students. Note: Union Market will be closed for this meal

August 10—Classes begin

Start your college career when classes begin on Monday, August 10.
