Associate Professor of Nursing

Nursing Program
AHC 267

A am originally from Oklahoma. I was one of the last classes from Southwestern to take the first two years of nursing there and a year in Denver Co. before finishing the nursing program in Lincoln at Union College.

I started my teaching career at Southwestern Adventist University before coming to Union. I have been teaching in this nursing program for over 30 years. My special clinical area is the ICU. I have experience in trauma and medical/surgical ICU. I worked ICU at Huguley Hospital in Fort Worth and Bryan West on the trauma unit. I love learning new things and am always trying to find new ways to help my students learn. Right now I am teaching Gerontology, Pathophysiology and Med Surg III (I like to call it critical care).

I love to read, knit and sew. I also love animals, Right now I have a cat named Jay T. He is a long haired white and black, so if you see fur and a scratch or two they are from him.
