I love teaching nursing at Union College. I teach Maternal Child Nursing and Global Health Nursing. I have a Doctorate of Nursing Practice degree from Creighton University and am a Family Nurse Practitioner. I also enjoy working in my nurse practitioner role in a variety of clinics and home settings for several healthcare organizations. My doctoral project was "Implementation and Evaluation of a Standardized Social Determinants of Health Tool In a Free Clinic: A Quality Improvement Project" at Clinic With A Heart.

Originally, I am from Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada. I have been a nurse since 1994. I met my husband, Kalvin, at Southwestern Adventist College. I enjoyed labor and delivery nursing before getting into teaching. In 2008, I received my Master of Science degree in Nursing from Southern Adventist University while working there as a clinical lab assistant. In 2010, my family moved to Lincoln to join the Union College family. We have 3 children and love camping, hiking, traveling, and spending time with everyone, especially our adorable chocolate lab.
