Brent Page, previously the IT director at Bluestem Health, has joined Union’s faculty in the Computer Science Program after a semester as an adjunct professor. While Brent is a Union graduate, his ties to the college run deeper than his education.
About four years ago, he met Christina Burden-Page, one of Union’s biology professors in the biomedical science program. Taryn Rouse connected the couple, setting them up on a blind date. Christina had already been on a few blind dates that summer, so she expected nothing more than a funny situation she could tell her friends about. Brent, however, surpassed her expectations and got her laughing instead.
A year and a half into dating, the couple realized they wanted a future together. Brent proposed. Six months later, he and Christina married in Kalispell, Montana in June of 2019.
Now Brent is settling into his new position as a professor here with an office located directly next to Christina’s. Brent is focused on engaging with students and helping them grow into quality employees ready for the work world. “I want to equip my students with tools to succeed in their job, and I also want to help bring them closer to Christ,” Brent said. “I’m looking forward to making a positive impact.”
