“My coworkers have been amazing,” Angie Wheeler said. “They’ve been very generous and genuinely supportive of me here.” Wheeler recently joined Union’s PA faculty as the clinical director after spending the past few years as the first assistant in spinal surgeries at Nebraska Medicine Orthopaedic Surgery. She completed her graduate PA studies at Idaho State University, graduating in 2013.
Wheeler was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska, where she still lives. Since she became a Christian, she’s habitually gone to every Christian concert she can at home. When she was working on her graduate degree at Idaho State, she made the trek to Salt Lake City or Boise for concerts. Most often, she’s attended concerts by Mandisa and Toby Mac.
“I’m really excited about being here. I really like that Union has a PA program with a Christian background to it,” Wheeler said. “I’m really looking forward to putting faith and education together to teach a new generation of PAs.”
