This school year, Union College relaunched the weekly chapel service as uGather—a Thursday morning event for the entire school to gather and build community.
“As a school, we wanted to invest in time to strengthen our campus family and help our students discover focus and support through life,” said Pastor Rich Carlson, vice president for spiritual life. “We’ve got to reverse the trend in our culture of isolationism and come together, rediscovering the value of community.”
Every Thursday at 10:30 a.m., departments close down to allow students and employees to come together to discuss issues, build community and worship. This video is some exerpts from the October 17 talk by communication professor Seth Pierce—one example of the great speakers the campus enjoys each week at uGather.
