We are excited to introduce our new librarians, Rebecca Macomber and Bruce McClay.
Rebecca Macomber, Technical Services Assistant, joins us from Griffin, Georgia, but her home is in Texas. While she was a student worker at Southwestern Adventist University’s library, she realized she had a passion for books and a calling to be a librarian. Cataloging books to make searching easy and research efficient brings Rebecca joy. She wants to make finding books at the Union College Library as easy as possible. Rebecca says, “everyone has been so nice and welcoming” at Union. She loves being here.
Bruce McClay is serving as a temporary Public Services Librarian while we look for someone who is interested in moving to Lincoln permanently. He comes to us from the nursing library at Walla Walla University with a passion for helping students find the information they need. He says, “I love helping students find things just like I love fresh baked bread or hiking in the mountains with my dog. They’re right up there on the same level.” During his two and a half months at Union, he hopes to learn as many names of students as possible. Bruce invites all students to stop by the library and RAP with him if they have any questions about research
