Union to host choral students for annual music festival

High school students from across Mid-America will gather at Union College for the 63rd Annual Music Festival Feb. 3-6.

Students from academies and high schools across the Mid-America territory will descend on the Union College campus next week for the 63rd Annual Music Festival, held February 3-6.

Each Seventh-day Adventist academy from a nine-state area surrounding Nebraska will send their choirs to join the festival band performing on Saturday, Feb. 6, at 5:00 p.m. in the College View Seventh-day Adventist Church sanctuary. Union College and high school choral groups will be featured in a concert on Friday night at 7:30 p.m. Both concerts will be webcast live at uclive.ucollege.edu.

The Union College Music Festival is designed to help students improve their musical ability, bond with and learn from students at other schools and get to know Union College. While this year’s event—under the direction of Dr. Ricky Little, professor of music—will feature choral music, the focus shifts every other year between vocal and instrumental performance.

All performances are free and open to the public.
