Job Description:

 

Bob teaches Biblical Preaching, Public Evangelism, the book of Revelation, the book of Daniel, Church Leadership, Christian Beliefs, and Introduction to Ministry while serving as chair of the Division of Religion.

Professional Background:

 

Bob came to Union College from having pastored small and large churches in both rural and urban settings for thirteen years. His last pastorate was in Indianapolis, IN. He also served as an evangelist for seven years, and has been involved in evangelism in Russia. He is now beginning his 16th year of teaching at Union College. 

Speaker's Bureau:

 

 Bob gives seminars in lay preaching, lay Bible ministry, the prophecies of Daniel and Revelation, and he also enjoys accepting Sabbath morning preaching appointments.

Personal Information:

 

Bob's interests outside of the classroom include hiking, canoeing, birdwatching, gardening, traveling and learning about other cultures, and reading history. He has spent a year teaching in Hong Kong and taught an intensive class in biblical interpretation for pastors in Zambia. He enjoys new cultural experiences and the opportunity to share the gospel of Jesus Christ in those cultures. He enjoys teaching and helping students discover and refine their gifts and calling to ministry. It is exciting to watch the Holy Spirit develop people into leaders for Jesus Christ.Union College is a great place to become a leader for God.  Bob and Ann have been married for 39 years. Ann has a PhD. in Nursing Science and currently works for the University of Nebraska Medical Center, School of Public Health, as a project director for the Rural Health initiatives. She is involved with teh Care Connections and greeting ministries at the College View Church. Ann's favorite pastime are her grandchildren and reading.

Our daughter Stephanie and her husband Ken have two children, Jack and Stephen. Both are a blast!

Our son Jonathan and his wife Michelle live in Port Angeles Washington where Jonathan pastors a two church district and Michelle works as a physical therapist.
