Biography of John Wagner
Oversee all operations of the college and report and be accountable to the Board of Trustees. Promote the college and raise funds for it.

Dr. Wagner first served at Union College as academic dean from 1980-1983, and later as president from 1986-1991. Among his achievements during that time, Wagner lead the college in cutting its debt in half, leading to complete elimination in 1998. Since leaving Union, Wagner has been an executive for Life Care Centers of America in Cleveland, Tenn., and held leadership positions with regional affiliates of Prevent Blindness America. Most recently, he served as the administrative pastor at Sligo Adventist Church in Takoma Park, Md. Prior to his time at Union, Wagner was a high school teacher and principal, a school system superintendent, and president of Southern College (now Southern Adventist University) in Tennessee.
