Union College is an independent, co-educational, four-year college offering degrees in the liberal arts and sciences. Founded in 1891, Union is owned and operated by the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Union's student satisfaction has consistently and substantially exceeded average results of four-year colleges and universities on 10 of 11 surveyed items (Noel Levitz Student Satisfaction Survey).
The percentage of Union's alumni support exceeds that of any other Adventist college. Alumni contributions place Union near the top of all United States colleges in the same classification.

Campus
With more than 100 species of trees, Union College is a site of the Nebraska Statewide Arboretum.
Union's varsity sports include men's and women's basketball, women's volleyball and men's golf. Intramurals include soccer, floor hockey, flag football, fast-pitch and slow-pitch softball, baseball, volleyball, bowling and basketball. Other available activities include swimming, jogging, gymnastics, weight training, tennis and badminton.
Union Market, renovated in 2004, offers a wide variety of vegetarian food options with flexible hours. In addition, more than 60 tasty restaurants are within 10 minutes or less of campus.
Larson Lifestyle Center offers a 25-meter indoor swimming pool and hot tub, weight room and outside tennis courts.
Ethernet capabilities and wireless connectivity are available in the dormitories and most other facilities on campus, such as the library and administration building. There is also a microlab and Mac lab with desktop publishing and graphics software, scanner and laser printer.
